My racks ,some are home made and some were purchased.Let me know what you think.

Home made hatchling -subadult rack.It is heated with zoo med heat cable controlled by a rheostat.

This is a single adult gecko setup .All of our adults are housed in 12qt boxes.

Can you tell me how much heat cable that you needed for that metal rack? I would like to do one of those. How do you keep the heat from escaping since it is not all enclosed?

I use the silver tape you would use for plumming or to hold down flexwatt. I just run a strip across the metal and fish the heat cable back and forth . I will try to get a pic showing you how to do it .I used the 25 foot zoo med cable.

All my other racks are heated with 4 or 11 inch flexwatt heat tape controlled by helix thermostats.

Nice stuff Memphis! I wish I had more rooms, but these other annoying creatures (my human kids ) currently live in them! Oh well!

Cool thanks so do you just sandwich it between the silver tape or only on one side? Is 25 ft enough for the whole rack ?

Nice a friend and I biult something similar for snake breading years back, but made the shelves just the right hieght so no lids were needed you just slid the containers in and out
