Can someone explain the outcomes of tremper albino in the 1st,2nd, and 3rd generations? I will be breeding my female blizzard to my male tremper albino shortly.
The first generation would be het for Blizzard and Tremper albino.
They would be double hets so they need to be bred together. I'm not good with second generations...but you would get... Blizzard (het Blazing?), Blazing Blizzard, Tremper Albino (het Blizzard?). Not sure if that's right? lol.
From Tremper x Blizzard you'll get all normals 100% het Tremper and Blizzard... You should incubate them all for female and buy a male Tremper Blazing Blizzard to breed them to... From that pairing you'd theoretically get:
25% Normal double het Tremper and Blizzard
25% Tremper het Blizzard
25% Blizzard het Tremper
25% Blazing Blizzard
I skipped double het x double het since Blazing Blizzards are so cheap it's almost silly to do such a pairing...
1st gen
All will be normal het BB (blizzard / tremper)
2nd gen bred back together
6.25% WT
12.5% Het. tremper,
6.25% Homozygous tremper,
12.5% Het. blizzard,
25% Het. blizzard, Het. tremper,
12.5% Het. blizzard, Homozygous tremper,
6.25% Homozygous blizzard,
12.5% Homozygous blizzard, Het. tremper,
6.25% Homozygous blizzard, Homozygous tremper,
Basicly half of them will be normal 66% het BB, the trempers will be 66% het blizzard, the blizzards will be 66% tremper and you might hatch a blazing blizzard.
this is what i meant. You get sunglows from SHTCT and albino mixed. The first generation hatches (S)HTCT het albino and mixing them give a few sunglows.
??right?? or do they have to be shtctb?
Thanks for your help everyone. IM still not ready to breed yet and will be thinking about who I should breed, and possibly adding another male to my collection that would go good with one of my females. If I was to add another male or female, what should it be. Not something overly expensive, but in a mid rang.
