Hello
I am brand new to the forums, but I have had my gecko for 5+ years.
About six months ago I left for college and could not bring my Leo but my parents said they would take care of her. (not 100% on gender)
Anyway I was home this weekend noticed that she is very large (fat).
My father says that she is fed 3 times a week but she gets a lot of superworms and meal worms.
Now there are some things that aren't good about her enclosure which I changed or am going to change very quickly. These are that she didn't have a calcium dish and she doesn't have a moist hide. This is my fault because I am still learning but am very willing to learn.
All recommendations will be taken in and all questions will be answered.
But in all I am really asking is she healthy.
Sorry for poor quality pictures. IMG_20150301_155814.jpg IMG_20150301_155825.jpg IMG_20150301_155838.jpg

I would say that she definitely could stand to go on a diet. Since she is an adult she can very safely eat once a week. I would feed her probably 10-12 mealworms or 2-3 superworms each feeding. Make sure you dust her feeders with a calcium + d3 & vitamin supplement. I suggest Repashy Calcium Plus, and then as you are already planning keep a plain calcium (no d3) dish with her all the time. You want her so her belly isn't so close to dragging the ground. Once she reaches a good weight you can adjust her feeding a bit to maintain it. :)

I see she is on paper towels in the picture, but has she been the whole time? Is she having regular bowel movements? The reason I ask is sometimes a swollen belly like that can be a sign of impaction. She has a pretty fat tail though so I'm betting she is just chunky. :)
