Overfeeding?

It doesn't seem like I can feed my leo enough lately! She ate 30 mealworms on Monday and 30 more on Thursday this week. I figured she would be full, but she seemed hungry yesterday and I had just picked up some waxworms, so I gave her a few of those yesterday and she gobbled them down. This morning I figured she would definitely be quite stuffed, but she was in the spot she is always in when she is hungry, so I gave a few mealies a try and she ate 15!!! I'm sure she would have eaten more, but I cut her off. Right now, she actually looks like she is waiting for me to bring her more! Is this way too much? She has been a little inconsistent in her eating for the last few months, so maybe she is just catching up? She is 1 year and 3 months old and is neither too fat or skinny. I have a hard time resisting feeding her, but am wondering if I need to cut back on the # of worms per feeding...

How many times a week do you offer food? I fint that the best way to offer worms is to keep a constant supply in a dish 24/7. Every morning take out the uneaten ones, and replace them with freshly gutloaded ones (put the ones from the night before back in the gutload). I lie mine eat all they want, and have never had problems with them "over eating". Belive it or not they will eventually get full, and stop eating it just may take a bit, lol.

I offer food when ever she is in her "feeding" spot and looks hungry. I used to put some in a dish for her every other day and she would eat out of the dish, but then she stopped doing that and now will only eat when I drop them in front of her 1 at a time. I'm thinking that maybe it is time to try leaving some in a dish again. When she stopped eating out of the dish, she was also not eating as much when I would try to feed her - sometimes going a week + with out food, so maybe now that she is hungry again, she will eat from a dish. It sure would make it easier for when I go out of town!

My gecko does the same thing, she stopped eating crickets and only eats the worms. I usually give her at least 20 mealworms a couple times a week. I like to feed her the giant mealworms though because they seem to fill her more and then she doesn't as many.

I have been thinking the same with my new leo. I've had her almost a week now, and she is my first leo. She's about 4 or 5 months old, and I have drawn up a feeding plan. I offer her five medium size crickets 5 times a week, and twice a week I dust these with calcium with D3. However, as much as I have been trying to stick to this plan, if I put a lil more crickets in there, like one or two more, she will readily accept them. I don't want to over feed her, or under feed. I think 25 crickets a week is acceptable for her age, and they're a fair size. I might try to offer her mealies instead, no doubt she would eat like 30 of those too haha. Maybe leos are just greedy lil things :)
