Ovulating or gravid?

My male hypo tangerine mated with my hypo tangerine female about 28 days ago. I did not check her before that to see if she was gravid or not, though from what I've read she looks like she is ovulating now. A red ball/round shape in her belly means she is ovulating right?
I've taken a few pictures for different distances and angles, hopefully you can get an idea of whether she is gravid/ovulating or not.

it would not let me attach some pictures but you can go here to see them: click here
click on the pictures to make them larger, tilting your screen up and looking at it from the bottom helps to see the spot.

If she is gravid, when will she lay? It has been more than 2 weeks but I have heard that a leo's first clutch can take up to 2 months. Is that correct?

I am using pesticide free potting soil in a plastic container with a smaller plastic bowl on top for a nest and hide. Is this okay? Should I use something else for the nesting material? and should the soil be dry, wet, or just kind of damp?

It's hard to tell, but it just looks like an ovulation to me. If you want to breed her you should try reintroducing her to the male and checking again in a week or so.

I'm probably thinking too hard about this but...

Technically gravid means "full of eggs" so when the eggs get bigger you could say the gecko is gravid even if she's never been with a male. Fish are said to be "gravid" even though fertilization takes place outside their body. Ovulation occurs when an egg begins to be formed and if the egg is not fertilized its usually reabsorbed. Sometimes the female keeps developing the egg even if its not fertilized and lays it.

I don't see fully formed eggs in your gecko so IMO she is not "gravid" in the sense I describe above. The pictures are a bit hard to see but she may be ovulating. Whether or not the female will continue to develop the ova into a fully formed egg and lay it you may need to wait and find out :)

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply!

She laid 2 nice looking eggs a couple weeks ago, although she hid them and when I did found them one of the leos has stepped on them... Despite being dented and dried onto the paper towel bedding, they were bright white and looked perfectly shaped to me :)
