I'm having issues with my firewater cross female. I'm starting to get worried. She slowed down eating in February, just accepting maybe a cricket or mealworm once a week or so. Over the last month and a half or so, she has stopped eating entirely and is beginning to drop weight. She is still 63 grams, but her tail is very noticeably thinner than at the beginning of the season. I want to pair her with my raining redstripe male, but despite displaying the symptoms of ovulation (even including digging) she rejects him violently when I place them together. I already posted about that and was told to wait until she is very clearly ovulating (I haven't seen much pink in her belly), but she just doesn't seem to want to enter that window. I'm worried that by the time she is in the window where she will accept a male she will have lost too much weight.
Is there something going on here? Is there anything I should be doing? This is only my second season and I didn't have these problems last time, so I could do with some experienced words. =)
