Is there any set timings on when females start to ovulate? like once a month or somthing like that?

I think they may ovulate while they have a clutch in them...and when they first clutch is almost ready to be laid, the second one is starting to develop. Don't quote me on that.

Females will ovulate continually through the entire breeding season... typically from February to September.
