Yeah I have a small group of 6 but when I clean them (usually on a daily basis before I feed) it does stink.
(Dont take the wrong way)
I am not looking to be quized on why they stink, I am asking if anyone has experiance with ozone generators. I have heard of one person using and want to hear from others.
When I raised rodents for my snakes, I used an Ionizer for a while and it did help with the eau de rodent, but I haven't felt the need to use it since I quit raising mice and rats. It's an AirSource brand, but I have no idea where I got it.
after today I could use one for my boas. My 8 1/2 ft boa decided to go to the bathroom 3 days in a row, and in LARGE amount... pewwwww haha Ever tried to bathed a near 9 ft angry boa? NOT fun.
Ive never had an odor form my leos or chams, what do you clean with? I just use the chlorhexidine every day and wipe out the poo area.
Smelly poop makes me think parasites, and Im nor trying to "quiz" you, that is one of the signs of parasites are stinky poos, so just something to think about.
Ozonators aren't the safest thing in my opinion, especially if you're in a small room. Too much ozone can actually cause humans to have chest pains, cough, and feel flu-ish. If it can bother humans that easily I can't imagine it being worth the risk in a reptile room.
I would suggest a carbon/hepa filter unit. The hepa filter retains the bad things in the air and the carbon filter takes out the odors. The only issue is price. Even a small single room unit is pricey.
To be honest, the easiest way to cut down on smell would be to clean weekly and spot clean when you can.
