Well, we got three "couples" put together for breeding season.
Eve and Odin (BCIxBCO and BCI het Albino)
Sylvia and Loki (BCI and BCI High Pink)
Maya and Osiris (Ball pythons)
As soon as Eve entered the enclosure, Odin was interested. He's wasting no time this year getting the job done.
Loki has acknowledged theres another snake in his enclosure, but I don't think he realizes its a girl. He still hasn't come out of the waterdish.
We moved Maya and Osiris into a large 40 gallon breeder tank and shes checking out the new surroundings. Osiris is following her like a love sick puppy.
After loosing two girls last year, I'm a bit apprehensive (to say the least) about breeding boas again, but boas are hubby's shtick and he's been looking forward to this season. These girls are well seasoned and everything has gone well for them in the past (health wise), so hopefully everything will work out well. Eve produced beautiful babies two seasons ago. She didn't produce anything last year, but I blame that on the late start and an inexperienced male. Sylvia is the one that produces the slugs, so hopefully, Loki will crawl out of the bath tub long enough to do his "man-duties."
Hopefully, I can update ya'll in a month with some ovulations! *fingers crossed* :main_thumbsup:
