Panacur and gravid female??

On Monday night we found one of are leos dead it was little buttons. We have a PM done and the vet found a heavy load nematode worms in the gut. We have now been instructed to treat all our other leos for worms with panacur, as if one had it its likely they all do.

We started treatment right away last night doseage is 25mg/kg for 4 days then wait 10 days and then do it again for 4 days.

One of our leos is gravid but we are treating her as her health comes before any eggs. I have been looking on the net and cant find any info about using it with gravid females. Is there any side effects will she be ok???

Some animals do succumb to parasitic intestinal infections, others can keep them at bay unless their immune system is compromised. Since you were just at the vet, call them and ask the doctor. My personal opinion, I would wait for the eggs to be laid, then deworm her. The babes deworming should then follow, but call the vet to be sure. No office visit charge, I'm sure.
