What are the main differences between the two? My friend got two leos recently. And I'm planning on getting a panther gecko. Are those guys still floating around.

Pictus gecko would be the panther gecko you are talking about. I have like 40 of them for sale. Striped , normal , Xanthic. They are around just not as popular as Leos. That is all changing as more and more people are working with them. New morphs are being discovered.
Pictus - eat crickets mostly and like a little more humidity. I keep mine on coco fiber and mist them to drink. They breed like crazy so the male should be removed after the 4th clutch or so. They will breed to death.

i have found that my pictus isnt as tame as my leos.. hes smaller and not as easy to hold and is more nippy. i bought him full grown though and it could be the fact that when he was little he wasnt handled. i love both leos and panthers, im looking to get another panther or two sometime, females since my boy is a male. either way you cant go wrong though
