paradise fish ?? need help

the pet store i go to is quite a well known pet store and hav a massive range of fish,, they have paradise fish in the coldwater section,, are they coldwater as i have been told that they are tropical gouramis ??

They are related to Gouramis and Bettas, but do best in cooler water.

Hello,

If u talk about Macropodus species there are some which can handle cold very well.
The "standard" one which is bred allso as Blue, Red and Albino I kept myself in pond until 15 C degrees and there were no problems.

There is allso a Macropodus from China which u can keep much cooler.

But a sure answer I can only give u with the Scientific name.
