Finally I have some time for a little update from one of our Ghost- & Speckled Projects (You all know I love working with these ;)):

This little male is a Speckled Ghost Raptor from Giant-Line, born late 2011 and already over 30 grams :). This is the first generation of Ghost Raptors that I hatched, therefore there's still alot of work to do for the common years (like f.ex. reduce the amount of dark spotting etc.).

What really confuses me is the black paradox marking on his back that he just recently developed- I checked his eyes carefully and they look 100% albino to me, so how come:main_robin:???
strange little one for sure :main_rolleyes: ..

Very cool Rebecca! Maybe he is a paradox? The left eye clearly appears to be albino while the right eye looks like regular Eclipse... Really interesting! Btw, he looks way more Bell than Tremper... Maybe the 'paradoxing' would explain that...

Yes strange indeed... Oh btw I wasn't suggesting he could be a Bell just that the combination makes it look like one... Kind of like the Hyper Axanthic Raptor looking spot on like a Radar... :D

Yes, very interesting thought:main_yes:. Thanks so very much :)!!
Paradox spots appear from time to time in my stock, but they were all non-albinos.
Lets hope this little one is fertile so we can see what he produces. I remember seeing a "true paradox" gecko some years ago that showed melanin despite beeing albino , but it was said to be sterile?

You are thinking about the one in Tremper's old book I believe? As far as I remember it was indeed infertile, but not by conventional means... The gecko had both sexes if memory serves correct... It was also split directly down the center half normal and half albino... I know Steve Sykes hatched a 'traditional' paradox and believe Matt Baronak did as well... No idea though if either were reproducible...
