Patternless genetics?

Hi, I just received a beautiful leucisitc/patternless female gecko, a sub-adult. Just out of curiousity for the future, what kind of possibilities are there for her as a breeder? Certain males produce certain offspring? And really quick question, probably being paranoid- it's ok if she spends a lot of time in her humid hide and basking, right? Temp is 85, she's eaten 8 crickets in 2 days since I've gotten her, clear eyes and fat tail.

Thanks!

I don't know about the rest, but 85 is too cold - it should be up around 90.

Thanks, I just checked- the basking area/humid hide is 90, the rest of the warm side is 80 and the coll side is around 75.

Really the possibilities are endless if the animal is only a patternless and not het for any other morph. You could literally cross it into anything you like just keep track of the genetics behind your animals and have fun with it, breed what interests you and then branch out from there. This is truely a fun and educational hobby! Welcome :main_thumbsup:

Just keep in mind that patternless is a recessive trait. Meaning that if you breed it to something else that is not patternless then the babies will only be het for patternless.

Thanks Cameron and Michelle, good info to know. So if I bred her with a male patternless would they produce patternless offspring? Or would there be some different offsrping resulting from their different masked dominant traits?
