I fed my juvi blaptica dubia for the first time tonight and she has behaved somewhat oddly...

After eating the first nymph I dropped in, she started waiving her tail back and forth up in the air slowly. After a minute or so, she ate the other one... still waiving her tail slowly and kind of moving her head back and forth...

I dropped in a couple more, and she gobbled them up and continued the same behavior. Almost like she was experiencing some kind of high from the new delicacy..

Dropped in 2 more, she gobbled them, and now she's just chilling over her UTH...

Not really concerned, just thought it was interesting..

Yeah they wave their tail when they are hunting for food, or get excited about seeing something new (or see another leopard gecko in the distance).
