I was at the pet store yesterday trying to find something my leo would eat he's stopped eating, I thought if I changed his diet he might eat again I asked a pet store employee what there geckos ate because mine was sick and not eating a lady that was in the same section as us said when her baby leo was sick she nursed him back to health with clear pedialyte, I was wondering do you think this would work? Or hurt? I called the vet and for all the tests, labs etc it would cost me like 300 and there the only reptile vet in the area.

If your gecko has a parasite (I've read your other thread), it needs a vet in order to heal. You have mentioned that your gecko has been displaying alarming signs such as lethargy, loss of appetite, as well as a tail that allegedly shrunk in a very short period of time. These are all general signs indicative of a health problem in your gecko, more specifically a parasitic infection, due to the symptoms. He will require veterinary assistance and medicine if he is to recover from it.

Just giving him Pedialyte, while it would certainly provide electrolytes and hydration, will not cure the problem. It will not eradicate the parasite or make him more active. If properly diagnosed with a problem and prescribed appropriate medication, it certainly can be added to the GGG slurry to help with recovery.

I'd stop fussing around with home-remedies/etc, and get him to a reptile vet as soon as possible to find out what is wrong with him. He may have a parasite, he may not, but rapid shrinking of the tail along with lethargy and appetite loss, to me, sound like classic precursors of parasites.
