Just got home from the vet and not good news . The vet thinks that she has crypto. But since Penelope is still strong and active she has prescribe an antibiotic hoping that it's an infection from the parasites. She lost two grams (from 9 to 7). She has another appointment next Thursday if she shows little to no improvement we will talk about putting her down. . I just don't want her to suffer. I have tried everything and still not giving up on her.

Thank you to everyone for all the awesome advice and encouragement. I will never buy a reptile from a large chain pet store again. I'm going to research and find a reputable breeder.

Very sorry to hear. Those babies at the big pet store just aren't given the best starts in life. Many get sick because of that for one reason or another. You are an exemplary pet owner! I hope your little girl pulls through, she'll be a super lucky gecko is she does!! If she doesn't, I hope this experience doesn't discourage you too much and another lucky gecko gets to be your pet!!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I really hope that this just turns out to be an infection, but all we can do is hope for the best at this point... You and your gecko are in my thoughts! And I hope that this doesnt scare you away from leopard geckos in the future
