perlite vs. vermiculite

hi guys!
can anybody tell me (us) what´s the difference between them and what do you think which substrate is better and why?

I personally like Vermiculite, because I used to use Perlite (using Albeys method) and I was having alot of problems with molding, it wasn't the method, just some problem I had here I guess. I am using Albeys method now with the Vermiculite and love it. It stays moist, it is easy to get the eggs "nice and cozy" and ready for a bake. Just my reasons why.

We think Perlite is easy to work with. We've been playing with different stuff and it's not too hard to use perlite. We just use our snowball method. Just add water until you can form it into a "snowball" that falls apart easily..
