Hi and WELCOME to the forum!!
Are you also feeding your Crestie the Creste Gecko Diet meal replacement powder??
That is a very important part of their diet
You can buy it as a T-Rex product in a bottle or on line in different sized bags from many Rhac breeders

It was developed by Allen Repashy and is part of his line of Repashy Foods

As for the cricket question-small crickets can live longer loose in your house than the big ones
:main_yes:
I think that their life span is 3 to 4 weeks depending upon the temperature

Just out of curiosity-how would the crickets get out of your Crestie's cage?

I have no idea! I have a screen on top with rather big holes... about 1/4 the size of a pinky finger nail... and I assumed they got out there... because I haven't fed her any for a few days... and I just cough 5 meaning some got out over the last few times I fed her...

Ps: they are 3.5 weeks old... soo I guess thats good...

I seriously doubt they will live long in the house without a food and water source. We had about 50 small ones get out whe the cat decided she wanted to knock over the cricket keeper that has larger holes in the top. We have no infestation.

They may have jumped out when you got some out to feed to the crestie. I seriously doubt they got out of the cage unless there is something for them to crawl up on.

Also, do make sure you are feeding crested diet as well.

How do you see her... when Mine comes out all the lights have to be off... and when the lights come on she goes back to sleep...

i crack the door in their room and the light in the hall gives me enough light to see and it doesnt bother them at all. So i can make out what theyre doing.

I was thinking about getting a red light to put on at night so I can see what she's doing...

Hey Sean, welcome. They eat so little that it's really hard to notice any difference in the CGD dish. A few people here mentioned that they spray the CGD with water each day, checking it to make sure that it's not going bad (mold). I switched to this method & now actually get to see indentations = proof. The banana seems to do the trick every time here too.
