Petsmart gecko

I got this little guy for free due to his tail. He was only about 4 or 5 grams when I got him so his pattern wasn’t showing. Know that he’s almost 40 grams its like his bands and spots are fading to form these foursquare down his back. LoL I dont know if this pattern is common but ive never seen it before. Could it be some form of stripe gene?

Hes in shed so he doesnt look his best.

newly hatched. he wasnt thin or anything just lost his tail. Im guessing either from someone not handling him right or from a cage mate. Hes the 2ed leo ive gotten from petsmart with missing tails.

I can't say he is with any certainty coz you don't the his history BUT he looks VERY much like my mack pastels-(this morph came from snow but is not snow).I'll sort some pictures of my two for you to compear.You post a after shed picture also when he sheds.when not in shen has he got a pale-ish head color with a glowie yellow body ? can't see the true look of the tail ofcourse.Sometime them pet shop place's make mistakes with there leo's and sell some leo's far less that there worth.I remember somone getting a Tremper blizzard-(blazing blizzard) really early in the peek of tremper blizzard quite cheep.Also some one else has a leo that looks very much like a Tremper patternless stripe-(APTOR) quite cheep also from them petsmart type places.

looks like a hypo tang to me as well. I can see the mack thought because of the spotting. But I'd hypo tang.

And here's my mack pastel het albino The bit brighter is the male females in shed at the minute so not looking her best.Mack pastel take on a mix between a hi-yellow to hypo look it's one of there traits.Like i said i'm not 100% can't be coz you don't know is history etc but sure does look like one to me.Mack pastel are dominant so mack pastel X normal = around 75%mack pastel 25%normal.So the only way to know for sure is breed him and see if biggist half of the babys look like him as they get older ??.

Wow that does kinda look like my little guy. That would be really cool if he was a mack pastel. Hes still kinda small so im not gonna get my hopes up until hes alot bigger and his color is done changing for the most part.

I agree with Gazz. The first thing I thought when I saw the pic is that it looks just like some Mack Pastels I have seen. The fact that the head looks siginificantly paler than the bright yellow body and the strange pattern down the back. It may just be a freakish hypo, but it does look like a Mack Patel. Maybe you can breed it and prove it out.
