Ive noticed that when i buy leopard geckos from a Pet store they are always a Certain morph or some thing that contains that morph. Is it possible that they just breed a Cheaper morph over and over with other animals and sell it? Recently they added " Fancy Leopard Geckos " Which have patterens like Nova's, Raptor, Blizard and things that you would recognize as expensive. Though since i dont know the genetics i dont risk the price but does any one have a clue on the patteren for breeding?

Pet store leo's are usually just high yellows and normals, sometimes tremper, but you will rarely get any good designers. Local/private breeders sell their unwanted leo's to pet stores,so you're getting the leo's that they've had trouble selling, or aren't what they wanted to hatch out. I've also noticed the Fancy sign last time I went to Petsmart, but it's pretty hard to tell the morph of babies or juveniles.

Yeah, I only buy from Petsmart too save those poor little Geckos. The lady who handed me the one who i think is a Nova grabbed it by the tail and almost squished the other 3.

cool, post pics when you get them :)
I rarely buy geckos online unless they are expensive morphs, or im buying multiples, because they're stressed during shipping and it costs around 40-50 extra, and sometimes costs more than the gecko itself.

Where are you all located? We should compile a directory of gecko breeders so people can buy local from trusted sources - i.e. not petco/petsmart
