So besides getting two line bred phantoms will this work?

Super snow Tremper x sunglow=Mack snow hypo Tremper.
So my question is: if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, is it a duck? I love the hypo tang color mixed with the Tremper snow in the phantom. Would I need to line breed or not? I'm not looking to sell as phantom, just breed back to Trempers to get Trempers, snow Trempers, sunglows, and more phantoms.

Yes you will still have to line breed. Your color won't be that great the first year.

But I will be able to break it down again? Main goal is a few phantoms broken down by my Tremper male to get variety offspring.

I haven't done a phantom project but did consider it. From what I've read, it's definitely a line breed to get the finished product. Look at the TUG site, wiki has a bit about them too.

I'd love to do a hypo snow project with het albino so I'd have the option later to make phantoms. Hypo snows are so beautiful. Tang and snow bands. Tug has a nice one but it's sold. I would have bought their phantoms but I want females and all they have are males.
