Pics of my fish, shrimp, african dwarf frogs, and snails....lol Click the thumbnails for larger images!

My 14 Gallon Planted aquarium:

The 14's inhabitants:
Shrimpies:

Phoenix rasboras (red; boraras merah) and celestial pearl danios (blue...the photos were taken the day they were added to the tank...they have since brightened up in color):

scarlet badis (dario dario)....there were 5 originally, though for some reason only 2 survived the trip home and into the tank...and one of them has died within 5 days. The seller has offered to replace the lost fish. They really are gorgeous little fish!

African dwarf frogs! SUPER cute little guys! Only one is still in the 14, my 2nd has been transferred to the betta tank and named Trafalgar

Bumblebee gobies!!! Some of the cutest fish ever! I LOVE bumblebee gobies and was SOOOO happy to find some TRUE freshwater bumblebees!

Gold/Pink kuhli loaches (pangio doriae)...these guys are funny...they hide and hide and hide and then they come out and swim around like crazy!

German gold ram female...she's a pretty girl :) I've always loved the gold rams and was so excited when I found them at work and had somewhere to put one! She's generally good with the smaller fish...but I will probably get her set up separately eventually with a male :)

Betta tank! Just set up yesterday so the plants are still itty bitty....and I need to grab a piece of driftwood from work! It holds 2 1/2 gallons of water

Pucker! Halfmoon betta I picked up from work yesterday....we actually got 6 in and I'd never actually seen them in person before! I have been admiring these fish for ages and absolutely could not resist when they appeared in the store! ....not even for $12.99....lol

Thanks :) I forgot to mention that the bumblebees are currently ~1/2-3/4" in length....tiny tiny little guys! They will only get to ~1" though...so they are very small! The brackish bumblebees generally get closer to 2" (I plan to eventually start a brackish tank with fiddler crabs, bumblebees, small mudskippers, "freshwater" flounder, and dragonfish....it's gonna rock...). All the fish but the kuhlis and ram will stay between .8 and 1.5"

Oh and yes, Pucker is gorgeous! The flash makes him look bluer than in normal lighting...though the blue does show in normal lighting, more frequently his irridenscence is more of a lavendar/purple hue than a true blue...and more pink irridescence.

Not sure who the mom is...I know I had some blackberries from work that were carrying eggs....but I thought they all died within a week of getting them.... **shrug** Guess I'll find out if any survive to adulthood (what with the frog and ram.....)

I saw the halfmoons for the first time in petco the other night for the same price. I'm so happy they finally have them here now. It used to be you could only get them from extremely expensive breeders in the USA or from Thailand. I really picked the wrong time to get out of the hobby. The pet store bettas are just getting more and more amazing. He's a gorgeous boy. Great pick up. I love the blue cambodians.

Sweet tanks!! You work at the Raritan Petco? Surprised we haven't met yet. I work over at the animal emergency place by the circle from you. Should stop by and say hi. I just got home from work and stopped by there to pick up dog food

Jessica, we probably have met....lol I've been working there for ~6 months now, started in September. I had no idea you were even in the area...lol I am full time, so I'm there a lot... I was actually in the store yesterday till like 4:30/45...I got off at 4...but then I was walking around buying stuff....including Pucker's driftwood :)

Liz, Ah ok...I have no idea where that is...lol

Shrimplet pics!! Click to enlarge :)

They are so tiny and cute!!! I believe they are "blackberries"...don't think I saw any berried orange bees...oddly enough I think ALL of my adult blackberries and orange bees may have died....so I don't know how the little guys are doing so well! They are all over the place!

I love shrimplets! I used to keep a bunch of various shrimp in a guppy tank I had. They did a great job cleaning up the tank. I love how shrimp have OCD and clean everything. It's so cute.

:main_thumbsup: Dragonfish rock!

I can't wait to see pics of your brackish tank once you get it going! I've been kicking around the brackish idea for years now. Just not a lot available in my area for a brackish tank......

Liz, I know they're so cute! The little guys are all over my tank!

Mari, you can get things shipped :) I've had fish, inverts, and plants all shipped to me before...not terribly difficult. Brackish stuff is definitely harder to find than freshwater and saltwater (usually....except when places sell brackish as fresh....)...but so totally worth it! Brackish critters are usually VERY hardy since they come from environments where the water conditions are constantly changing throughout the course of every day. I can't wait to have a brackish set up! I had a 20 long a while back with bumblebee gobies, fiddler crabs, some guppies, and a dragonfish...it was a really really fun tank!
