I have a store that got in a gecko that has an eaten tail. They know I read the forums and take good care of mines so they may give this one to me so it's taken care of. It seems to be healthy and adult. I know I will need to keep by hisself. What other things should be done to get him back to normal? Also will the tail grow back?

I would probably get him off of the loose substrate, just to eliminate any risk of impaction. his tail doesn't look like a clean break, so it may require a vet visit, and maybe an amputation. other then that it should grow back (as long as the vet fixes it now) but it will never look like a normal gecko tail. I hope this helps out a little! :D

agreed this tail is pretty bad. i defo needs a vet to amputate it. if its not amputated there is a high risk of infection entering the exposed spine and traveling up the body. poor thing
