Does anyone have multiple pictures of an ovulating female. I am attempting to see if Kiya is ovulating but... no luck at this point. Have no idea what to look for.

Here's another one I found. This time with the spots circled..

Though I'm pretty sure they only carry 2 eggs at a time. :p

When you ovulate, you have eggs in you. Infertile ones. Then the male fertilizes them. In people the egg grows inside the mom, in leopard geckos the mom lays the egg.

I took a picture yesterday of my girl. It's pretty easy to see all her parts.

Am I looking for the red thing in the middle?

Lady_Kiya you are correct. You are looking for the red thing in the middle.
the original picture of "the lady being a little rough" that female is ovulating and has eggs. And the lady is not reaaly being that rough, you have to bend the female over your index finger to expose the ova.

Yup, agree on that, the red patch which is the sign for ovulation is what you need to kick start your breedin season ( considerin that she is of breedable age and stuff) The gravid part doesnt affect her ready-ness to breed or not, so dun worries on that

Unfortunately I think this is an old thread. The beautiful Kiya passed away not long ago. RIP girlie.
