Also my hand from forfinger to pinkie is three inches so she is a between four and five inches. Can you tell how old they are by their size? Or do I need to weight her?

Her tail looks clean and I think well heal OK. But if seeing this well bother you dint scroll down. the narrow part of the container I am using to feed her in is 5 inches. Also she did not eat. I think she did the first night but now I am not sure well have to tear down the habitate and see if the crickets got under the paper. Don't want to do that till tomorrow morning when I try to feed her again. Should I be feeding her more often? I was reading it is normal for them not to eat a week or two when you first get them.

Looks female to me but im not an expert on sexing :)

You can't really tell how old a gecko is by it's weight or length because they can stay really really tiny if they are malnourished. Here's an example of an 8 month old gecko weighing only 14 grams. http://www.geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=53448

It's not normal for the gecko to not eat for two weeks after you get them. I saw in your other threads that the gecko is eating but if the gecko doesn't eat after about a week you can jump start it with a little slurry. Sometimes all it takes is a lick or two and then they are in feeding mode and you can toss in the insects and they will chase em. Right now it is very important to gutload and dust the crickets. She needs as much nutrition as possible to grow back a full healthy tail. I would dust crickets with this http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/index.php?target=products&product_id=29813 and gutload them with this- http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/index.php?target=products&product_id=29814

Are you using a under the tank heater or a bulb for it's heat source?

Both UTH and a heat bulb cause it is always cold in my house in the winter. This keeps the warm side at 90 degrees.

I am gutloading the crickets but right now I can't leave them in long enough for her to eat any. She ate that first night but now I have to take them out and she did not come out and eat any.

What is slurry and where do I get it if I have to have some?

Do you dust the crickets? If you dust them it makes the crickets a little disoriented so the gecko can have an easier time catching them. You can also try taking off one of the jumping legs or feeding with tongs. Mealworms in a dish makes it easier to monitor if she's eating. If she is not eating at all then the slurry may be needed- here's the link http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=19356 The slurry is made of mealworms and other stuff to help get geckos nutrition, stimulate eating or produce a stool sample to take to the vet. Hope that helps! :main_thumbsup:

The cricket farm didn't have any meal worms. But I did get some wax worms. I know not ideal but thought it would be ok and I only have one in the dish.
Not sure when they well have meal worms going to check on that next Thrusday.
Since she ate two (at least two are gone from the first night) I don't think she has a problem catching them. Its just that I can't leave them in there cause of her tail. So she is has not ate in 24 hours.
Ill try putting in a couple late tonight or early morning and see if she is hungry enough to eat from my hand. So far she wont do that either.
