I am new to reptiles and I recently just bought a Pictus gecko from the store I work at, and i'm not completly confident on how to take care of her.
Things I know:
Humidity 50-60%
Day temp 85-95
Need a humid hide and a dry hide, shallow water dish.

Things I wish to know:
Ive read they are a nocternal species and that they dont need a basking light since they are hidden during the day.
I do have a blue moon light for night time, is a red bulb better for her?
I do have an under tank heater.
I bought a calcium supplement to cover her food in but am I allowed to put a little in a small dish and put it in her tank?
How often do i feed her crickets and mealworms?
Is there anything important I need to know about her kind of species?

Thank you for all the help!:D

Yes they are nocturnal, You can use a red buld but it should be the lowest wattage although I use none, I house mine in the same rack as our leos so they have an under tank heater, Yes do that with the calcium, I leave mealworms in at all times, They neat little geckos to watch. We have brought in 4 this year and hope to have normals and snows soon. Enjoy!

Ive read that this particular species get about 4-6 inches, and that females are usually smaller. Im pretty sure I have a female.

my male pictus is 4in long, has been since i got him. he eats waxies fine and mealworms. waxworms are treats though, remember that. too many and they can get fatty liver disease. the males have bulges and v shaped anal pores, but yours might be too young to tell.

So i fed my gecko earlier today and she ate 1 mealworm and 3 crickets but after she did this weird little body quiver thing, i started freaking out. Is that normal?
