So, ever since I got my UTH, my gecko has gone crazy eating. He is finally eating mealworms out of the dish. He had 10 within a half hour last night (after 4 crickets). I weighed him today for the first time in 10 days. Ten days ago he was 5.7 grams, today he was 9.3! Is this a lot to gain in 10 days? I don't see how it could be bad, it just sounds like a lot to me.

I purchased a nice little stripe from a Pet shop. At the time, she weighed 4-5 grams, and within 2 weeks she gained about 10-15 grams just because she was underfed. I think you're doing an excellent job, hence the growth spurt! Keep up the good work!

Alright, so 11 days ago when I posted this, my leo was 9.3 grams. Today (11 days later) he/she is 15.5 grams. Is it normal for it to be gaining so much? That's 10 grams in just over 2.5 weeks.

They can just about double their weight when conditions are improved (such as adding under belly heat when there was none before) and their growth spurts often are alarming
But as was said-it's good news and means that you are doing a good job raising him/her

Well done.. From the reading I've done quick weight gain is normal under proper conditions and as others have said; especially after a switch from poorer conditions.
