Hello, i made search on google but nothing's coming out with that.. The vet i saw for one of my sick leopard gecko said (after blood analysis) that she must have piroplasmosis... Please tell me how you call "this thing" if it's not the accurate name.
I am not familiar with the term, but upon looking it up, it seems to be a type of protozoan parasite? While I haven't heard of piroplasmosis, I have heard of reptiles being infected with protozoa.
Everything I found on "piroplasmosis" appears to apply to mammals though.
More info : the sick gecko is a ~5y old female, that i got when she was ~2y old and she may had growth issues (since she's much smaller than regular adult). The symptoms are rejection of food barely anything.
I gave her some treatment and she does look more alive, however still rejecting any given food (mixed mealworms or industrial cat/dog "critical care" food that vet provided). Hopefully, i've been told this can't be transmited to others.
