hey guys,

So I purchased a 2 month old mack snow male who was supposedly eating regularly. I had attempted to feed him several times with no success. I went out of town for 3 days and left plenty of mealies in one dish and water in another. When I return, I find one empty dish, and one dish with water and most of the mealworms at the bottom!

Any one else's doing this? I introduced crickets with no success either.

Any tips? Will try to locate super and silkworms soon.

Reptile take time to settle in and eat. Some will eat the second the get to their new home other can take as long as 2 weeks.

Stress is a baby reptiles worst enemy. Im going to make some ASSUMPTION here lol. Your gecko was probably housed in a rack system. Are you keeping it in an aquarium?
A picture of your set-up and temps would really help. A switch from tub to aquarium could be quite stressful to a baby gecko. Again, that was an assumption, please let me know how you keep your gecko.

Dont carry your gecko. Make sure it has a hot spot of about 91'F and a cool side of low 80's. Make sure it has a cool hide, warm hide, and humid hide.

Leave a worm dish in the enclosure and dont bug your gecko. If it is healthy and proper husbandry is met, it will eat in no time. If you feed crickets give it some time alone like 2-days and offer crickets, only leave like 10 PROPERLY sized crickets in there for like 24-hours, take out any uneaten crickets, because any uneaten crickets will stress out your gecko.

Just give it time.

Good Luck!
