:main_huh:

I'm currently new here in this forum, and I would like to ask for some help.

By crossing ex. het tremper to a bell albino would the albino gene just stack up (a gecko possessing both albino allele) or would it just cancel out leaving the gecko as normal?

Really would appreciate the help, Thanks!

You're right in both cases. The offspring would be normals double het for both albino strains. you wouldn't get any albinos in the first generation offspring.

So it means that albino strains do stack up, leaving you with double hets.
Meaning if you were to create a Typhoon, it's ok so cross an Eclipse het tremper to an Albino Las Vegas/Rainwater resulting with offsprings that are Het Eclipse Het Tremper and Het Albino Las Vegas/Rainwater?

I would never breed two Albino strains together when you start breeding double hets its going to become very difficult to tell them apart.

Very unethical in my Opinion.

I don't really think so...A lot of tremper enigmas were made from bell enigma lines...As long as the offspring are proven out, I don't see it as "unethical". To get anywhere with making new, beautiful morph variations, I think that you have to end up crossing lines at some point. I know MANY big time breeders that have crossed Enigma het Bell to Trempers... Just my $.02.

Which is why I waited out the Enigmas ;)

I can't see why it would be unethical, please do explain why?

I would agree with maltgecko, were already creating different allele by just breeding different morphs together, can't see why in this particular case, it would be unethical?

Though this maybe our opinion, I would like to learn more. Please do share your comments.

I believe what Nigel is referring to is that a lot of inexperienced breeders will get confused with what they have Bell or Tremper. Take a look at all the questions on what albino form is my gecko. Great point Nigel! If you know what your doing I see no problem with it.
