Hi,
Today I rescued a female leopard gecko that was very neglected in many ways, she had recently shed and the skin was in her eye and it appeared to have caused her eye to swell. As soon as I got her I took the skin off of her eye and as it turns out it was not swollen at all. She has a cut on the tip of her nose that looks quite raw. I am afraid to help her get the skin off the rest of her face because I do not want to open the cut. Is there anything that I can apply to it to help with the healing? I dont want the poor baby to be in pain :(
I have included a picture to help with any advice. Thanks :)

I agree with ozy, the skin is clearly annoying her so if you peel it off she should feel more comfortable. the skin on the head is quite tight so you wont make it worse. the wound will scab up and shed out over time. make sure all the skin is off her toes too.

I agree with the above advice! A soak in 90-95 degree water for 10 minutes will help loosen the shed. I would just leave the cut be, make sure she has a warm spot in the tank that's 90-92 and it should heal in a couple of sheds. Good luck and keep us posted on how she does!
