please help, has anyone ever seen this..(warning still born pics)

so when i looked in the incubater last night, i found a cracked open egg. all that was haning out was a front leg. so of course i helped it try to come out. i even do that with most of them when they are coming out head first. hatching can be tiresome. any way, as i pulled it open more and more i relized the back was facing twards the crack, and the head was on the opposite side of the egg instead of coming out first. as i pulled her out i relized she was a dead. i rolled her over to see what was wrong, and her stomich just looked like she ate too much and blew up. its really wierd. its like her yoke was too much for her to handle and just came back out. its kinda hard to tell, but the gut is very, very swollen

WOW, Nevin. I'm so sorry! It actually looks like the the umbillicus was attatched over to the side of the abdomen instead of the center. It does look like it absorbed too much yolk as well.

thanks marcia. the cord was where it was sapposto be in the center. it looks like that because i had her laying on her side. so it is possable for them to obsorbe too much?

ok, thanks marcia. i understand that you dont know if its possable for them to absorb too much yoke, but have you ever heard of or seen a baby looking like that befor?

I got a few babies drown just after they cracked the eggs. But they didn't got that belly....

sorry to hear that liselott. i wander if they stay in the egg and drown, if the body might keep absorbing the yoke.
