I have this guy a week now, but here in the Netherlands nobody can tell me what it is. He is very light yellowish and also not patternless. Also has he one eye almost closed, people say here wait till his shed and when still problems go to a vet. Also they advised me to use zoomed turtle eye drops, only difficult to drop them in the eye when he closes his eye.

Please let me know if you know what kind of morph this is. Also tips about the eye problem are also welcome offcourse :main_thumbsup:

He definitely looks like an albino but its hard to say which strain of albino. They're eyes are very light sensitive so if you want him to open his eyes it would be best to do so in dimly lit room so the light won't hurt them. I don't have any experience with using those eye drops but he looks like he may be a bit on the thin side so a visit to the vet would be a good idea. Hopefully he can pinpoint the problem and get you something that will fix the issue. Good luck!

Thanks for the help! I don't know if it is a light sensitive problem, because it is only one eye that has the problem. He weights 63 grams, but she is thin yes, but i think because of she comes from a petshop where she did not get enough food, know she eats everything she can get. Also her poop looks good. I just started using the eyedrops, if in a few days there is no improvement i go to the vet.
How can i sort out what kind of albino? Only by test breeding or are there otherways?

I would not advise breeding any "Pet Store' geckos. In many cases they are not cared for or supplemented properly which can lead to health issues or weak offspring. If you are interested in breeding, purchase animals with known genetics from a breeder.

Yes i know, i have 15 leopards and 2 of them from a pet store, and yes both of them are not 100% in my opinion. They where one of my first, and at that time i thought all sellers where honest people :)
And if it is an albino then i don't know what strain of albino, so not usable for breeding. But it is a very friendly animal. I hope i can fix his eye, but for sure i keep him as a pet.

i'd say its a hybino.
by definition, a hybino has litte to no pattern on body, but tail will display brown markings (indicating its an albino) and eyes should be of an albino strain (TREMPER has silver eyes with red veins, LAS VEGAS should have dark shadowy eyes, and BELL has pinkish eyes)

My rack is near the door to my bathroom and the bathroom has bright lights. I find when I have them on and the door open most of my geckos keep their eye that's closer to the door closed and look at me out of the other one.

It could, of course, be some issue he has so if you can't find a simple solution like more light on one side, I might consider taking him to a vet.

As an aside, what vitamin and calcium supplements are you providing him with? Sometimes eyes are the first thing to be noticeably affected by a vitamin deficiency.

I bought him 25 august this year at a reptile show, from what i thought was a breeder, but later i found out that it was a pet shop. I was just starting with leopard geckos and i didn't know exactly what to look for, almost all had little eyes because of the lights. I have another from the same place with both eyes closed... I give them now Zoomed multi vitamin once a week and the other feedings Zoomed calclium with D3. When my supply is out, i am considering using miner-all and vit-all. Tuesday i went to a vet and i have eye-creme for his eye, i hope this is going to work.
When i bought the gecko he weighted only 63 gram, now +- 10 days later he weights 82 grams and is doing very fine except for his eye. I think they almost didn't feed their animals.
In this short period i learned a lot, especially where not to buy from :)

A breeder here identified the male as a (mack snow) sunglow raptor. Sunglow raptor he is sure of, possible mack snow. When i go look for photo's on internet they look very much alike.
But i can only be sure of that by breeding him, what i am not sure of that is a good idea. The breeder i showed him to and the vet both say that he looks very healthy (after he gained some weight)
