please help me

I've had my gecko for over a year and he's really fat, happy, and healthy and I've never seen any health problems at all until now. I noticed he has what looks like goo in the corner of his eye? Could it be stuck shed that I didn't notice? Maybe it's infected?? Because I've never even seen him shed except 1 time and I know he sheds more than that, and I recently switched from bed a beast to paper towels and they dry out a lot quicker so maybe that's what happened? Please help, I'm really worried, do you think I need to take him to the vet? I'll post a pic soon... and thanks for any help

Notice in the bottom RIGHT(sorry) corner of his left eye... Please help! and sorry for the poor picture quality, my camera and him were both being uncooperative...

it's hard to tell what it is from the pictures but regardless you should get him to a vet.
