Please help! Shedding problems! Freaking out!

My baby leopard gecko is having trouble shedding. So sometimes, I'll soak him/ her in some warm water and gently use a tooth pick to help him/ her. I'm VERY careful not to hurt it! Over night, he/ she must have picked at her foot to get the shedding off. Because it looks like her toes are half gone. I have a picture. Please tell me that his/ her foot isn't harmed!

the black parts are where the toes have died and fallen off due to constriction of blood flow caused by old skin being left on.
it is very painful for them, just make sure you keep the wounds clean and free from debris
