i went away on work for a few weeks and left my leo in the care of my mother. i came home to find that she had 2 layers of dried skin on her head and i immediately put her in a warm soak. when doing this i noticed that she was not moving her back legs. her tail is twitching but she doesnt seem to have any control of her back legs. please help... please

Has she lost weight? Have you been able to remove any of the stuck skin? Is there any shed stuck to her hind legs or tail? Does she have an appetite?

I'm sorry. hopefully someone more experienced can help you. The only problem I've had so far (knock on wood) was eye cap from a retained shed.

I read a post on another forum about someone's monitor that didn't have the use of his hind legs. They said it was due to MBD, metabolic bone disease. After they increased his temperatures & supplemented with calcium & D3, he got his legs back. From what i read it took a while, but he is now moving around fine.

Have you ever supplemented her before?

Oh ok. I keep a dish of calcium in my female's tank but I've never seen her use it. I posted something earlier about my female. She's been gaining belly weight, but not tail weight, & I need to get a belly pic of her too. She might be ovulating.

The monitor was able to eat, he just kinda had to drag himself around.

For me the easiest way to upload a picture is to upload it to your photo album & then insert the picture URL.
