Poop Left Over After Gecko Shed

My Leopard Gecko Nigel recently just shed and had some left over skin on his legs, tail and tummy. I was able to remove the rest of it as usual. Sometimes he has left over near his bum which usually is not an issue too but this time Nigel had what looked like left over poop stuck to his bum. He tried pooping today but seemed unsuccessful after many tries. Is the left over poop keeping him from pooping? Is there a proper way to remove it?

have you read the other threads on this site? there is one that was very similar and it turned out to be waxy plugs built up. There is a video on you tube about prolapse, but best probably go to the vet. If it is a prolapse it will just get worse.

Hm, He looks quite swollen. It could be a build up, or it could be an infection. You can try doing warm soaks a couple times a day and see if that helps. But I'm thinking you're going to need a vet.

Nigel had a massive poop but the "plugs" still seem to be there, sometimes i see him reach for his bum possibly they are bothering him. Gladly they are not holding him back from pooping.
