Aww poor little leo Has he had a visit to the vet? I would make a vet appointment asap and try to help him out until then. Personally, I have no experience in gout
There are two of them and those hands belong to the vet that has diagnosed them. They are still the property of the pet store for now. I don't think that their prognosis is too good because it involves the kidneys and too much vitamin D. Just like puppy "mill" stores, pet stores that sell live animals don't take proper care of the pets for sale. It is all about the $$$.
Iv herd that gout in reps is from poor husbandry, with limited access to water and a low quality protein diet.
The hydration of the reptile should be improved and better quality protein food supplied. a friend whos a vet nurse said allopurinol can be given daily too however the damage already done will not be undone by the drug.
I hope they pull through poor things
