Just had this little one hatch this morning but it is much smaller than my last clutch and I'm still waiting for the other egg from this little girls clutch. Is there a such thing as pre mature hatchlings or is this little one going to b good to go?

I had a couple hatch premature due to a temp spike in the incubator this season (the thermostat probe fell off). They were born very small, almost anorexic looking really, and most of them still had their entire yolk sac attached. They had a really hard time starting to eat, and as a result are still pretty small at three months old. But they eat like pigs now!

Your hatchling looks okay, definately a little small, but as long as it starts eating regularly you should be fine :) What temps were you incubating at? And how long was this one incubating?

Thanks, Temp was at a very consistent 82 and it was still attached to the yolk sac as well , it took 52 days to hatch.
