Hey guys, I came back from visiting my sis at college, and I had my bro take care of my gecko. He fed him each day and kep clean water and a full dish of calcium in his tank at all times. This morning, I woke up to see him looking at me while squinting one of his eyes. It doesn't stay shut, but Idk if this is anything to be careful about. He may just be blinking haha, but I don't want to take a chance. Thanks.

Mine do that of a morning right as the lights come on. Even more so on the albinos and blizzards. Remember they are not diurnal (daylight) geckos, they are nocturnal and love the dark. Prolly just squinting do to the light. :)

Sappho squints at me when she's sleepy. How much she squints seems to determine how tired she is - wide eyes means excited. Droopy means lethargic. Squinty means zero energy. Closed means done for a few hours.

mine was doing that for a few weeks, he'd open it occasionally, but his eye looked like it had a film over it when i did get a look at it.

id keep an eye on it, but if he doesnt start opening it like normal in a few days id take him to a vet. it only cost us $12 for an oral antibiotic and $12.50 for an eye cream ($60 for the visit) but not expensive.
