Possibly blind leo?

I have a eclipse blizzard male that has been puzzling me for awhile, he has no defacetoria, he poops anywhere and everywhere. He lunges clumsily at food and misses constantly. He is relaxed right up until I touch him, then he bolts and goes into his defence mode.

Are blizzards prone to blindness?
Could this be an incubation problem?
Would he pass the blindness to offspring if I were to breed him?

Any input would be appreciated.:main_yes:

If he sees the prey and lunges for it, then he is not blind. Some gecko morphs seem to have poor eyesight... or poor 'eye-strike' coordination. I honestly believe that the 'eclipse' eye (even with Super Snows and Blizzards) can sometimes contribute to difficulty connecting to live, moving prey items. They usually don't have much problem with mealworms in a bowl, though. Maybe because even if they miss the one they were striking for, they connect with another one.

I agree about the mealies! He wouldnt survive if I made him hunt for Crix. Hes growing well but slower than my others, do you think his offspring would have poor eyesight?
