potential problem?

my leo has been getting pretty fat lately so i have been cutting back on feeding and she is still getting fat the fat pouches below the arm are now always visible and she is starting to worry me I'm not sure why shes still gaining so much weight is this a problem?

Since it is late in the season and brumation will/would naturally being in the next few weeks she may be fattenign up to prepare for natural brumation.
