potty

i read that leopard geckos will use the same spot in its tank all the time to got potty.I have had my leo, Bigsby, for almost a week now and he does not do this he isnt even really close he is all over the place... i was wondering if this is normal will he settle into a steady spot or just continue to go where ever

One of mine is a one place only gecko, my new one that ive had for a few days is all over the place, so i dont know what to tell you. It might just take a little while for them to get used to their habitat and then theyll find a place they like to use.

He should settle into an area.. mine pick an entire END..but its still sort of one spot.

Most geckos will use the same area for potty, usually the furthest away from their hides and stuff. Some are more "acurate" and some are just...er..."care-free".

Stripes was like your gecko when I first got him. He now poops only in one spot.

Ya, mine drops bombs all far away from everything on the cool side of her crib. Started doo dooing on the top of her log one day too

All mine go in pretty much the same spot (within a few inches).

At first one of my geckos chose to go in the middle of the tank but now they both use the left edge of the tank and usually go on a paper towel I've put down to keep the carpet a bit cleaner. So maybe yours is just trying to find a spot it likes?
