Hey my leopard gecko people..My power is out!! I'm about to lose my mind worrying about my lizard "kids"!! Their warm side is only about 75. Will they be okay or should I load them up in the car and find some power? Not sure how long it's been out. It's been a few hrs I think. Sorry if there's a thread on here about low temps. It's very hard to do online stuff with phone; took me 10 minutes to get on here as it was!

Not an expert by any means but if your tank temp is dropping why dont you run out and grab some heat packs to get you by. Modells should have them.

Toon should be fine for a day or two - its not like the wild always stays the perfect temperatures for babies. If the power is out for more than 2-3 days, I would try to find some power then.

They'll be fine. Out in the wild they would have to go days where it's cold (winter in the desert).

Oh phew thanks you guys. I was in a state of panic. I knew they could do okay at lower temps, but I wasn't sure how low or for how long they'd be okay that way. The first thing I thought when we woke up to find the power out was "OMG the lizards!" and I ran down the hall to their room. Food going bad in the fridge? Didn't care. Not being able to use the hair dryer or curling iron? Oh well. Geckos without their 92 degrees of belly heat? Panic! I drove to Home Depot in not much more than my pajamas. I even drove my G8GT so I could get there faster because trying to drive the Dodge fast is like beating a dead horse. Luckily it wasn't raining because with the way it was driving, my G8 would've been doing 360 degree spin-outs all the way there even with traction control on. At Home Depot I bought a bunch of extension cords. Our Dodge has a regular outlet in it so I hooked my UTHs up to that and let it sit running in the driveway to power them back up! And then about a half hour after I string the exension cords all through the house from the UTHs upstairs to the Dodge out in front of the garage....the power comes back on. :D

Wow I am crazy.
