Ive noticed it and i think some other members have too. My females tend to shed 1 week to the night they lay consistantly. And they shed a lot more while gravid.

All of our females shed before they lay as well. It happens too often to say it's coincidental. They're very close to laying when we find them in shed and then 1-3 days later we have eggs.

I agree with Ryan and Paul. Most mine usually go into shed about 3 days before they lay.

I was told about the pre-lay shed when I first started, and now rely on it to know when a female is close to laying and it hasn't let me down so far. I notice mine lay about 2-5 days after shedding.

We were just checking up on a very gravid female who was making some noise. We thought she might have been digging, but she working on finishing up a shed and was making a mess. She's definitely going to lay very soon, she's so big.

I have a gravid gecko I had notice since the 9th of this month she's going to shed again on the 20 so my guess that she'll lay her egg between 21st and the 27th of this month
