So earlier this evening I wanted to go to +++++ and get some crickets, and my stepdad was complaining about how I'm breeding mealworms and dubias and thought I was good but I told him that the dubias haven't started breeding yet. We get home from +++++ and Im feeding the crickets and decide to check on the roaches. Lo and behold theres an egg sac thing hangin out of one of my females! My question is, how soon should I expect these little buggers, how many, and do they need any special care? Should I feed them off, or let them grow into adults? Or does it matter? If I remember correctly I have 31 females and 30 males. I know that's a lot of males, but I don't know how many to get rid of.

you should expect them in the next week, and they lay around 30 babies at a time. The reason why you saw the sack was because she was rotating it for heat. i would let them age a little as the babies are really small, but really it doesnt matter you can feed them off if you like. A good ratio to have is 5 females to one male roach. having that many males they are probably fight with each other. if you look there are probably little bit marks on the bottom of their wings.

Thanks for the post. And yes, some have little bite marks on their wings. I'll go in right now and remove some
