Male and female just reached one year and are weighing in around 55g-60g.
What are the proper steps to take to get them ready to breed?

They live in seperate cages.
Feeding crickets with gut load and calc sup as well as pheonix worms.

Anything I forgot just ask.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure they are healthy enough for breeding, not just age and size. Female will use up more stored calcium during production of eggs, so you'll need to make sure she's taking in enough, to replace it.

Normal breeding season starts in Feb and runs through to Sept.

Next would be to make sure there is a suitable lay box for your female so she doesn't hold the eggs and poss. absorb them or become egg bound. A lay box can be filled with moist coco fiber (bed a beast) or sphagmum moss, placed in a warm area of the viv.

Before you start breeding your leos it's best to have an incubator set up, and housing for hatchlings. Also you'll want to make sure you have individual housing for the ones you do produce for a while in case you are not able to sell them.
