Hey guys. So, I'm very worried that the parasites Fonzie (my bearded dragon) has may also have come into contact with my geckos at some point..

Is there anything I can give all of my animals as a preemptive measure against the parasites, whether they are already infected or not?

Would it be safe to give them a weight-appropriate dose of panacur to flush out any parasites that might exist?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Oh - And all of their fecals will go in to the vet for testing after the holidays.

Wow

I don't know.

You are do it yourself vet and I am too new to this.

I think that it depends on the type of parasite or at least that is what I thought that I read.

And I think that you have to be concerned on the dosage.

Sorry.

Lena, it depends which type of parasite you're dealing with; panacur is not effective against ALL type of parasites. Besides, panacur needs to be given at week/bi-weekly intervals; so I think treating your geckos 1 dose of panacur before the fecal test is not necessary.

Don't worry, if your geckos are still doing fine (not deadly thin), waiting a few more days won't matter much~ :) Good luck!
