Price of Nova morph

Hello!

I have a question regarding a leopard gecko I have. He is an adult Nova morph (Enigma+Raptor), 65 grams with 2 solid red eyes. He does not display any signs of ES to my knowledge. Eats well and is guaranteed parasite free via a fecal exam done by a veterinarian. I am interested in selling this gecko, but am not sure what would be a fair price for him. I've searched the internet and have seen them range anywhere from $200-$500. I am not a well known hobbyist. I just do this for fun and for the geckos. I would like to hear some opinions about him before I put him up for sale so I can be sure to be fair to myself and to prospective buyers.

Here are some photos though the second one doesn't do much for his color. He is mostly white with orange freckles and pastel yellow body splashes:

Thank you!

I have seen big name breeders selling them for three to four hundred. But I've also seen not so well known breeders selling nice ones at shows for 125 to 175. Did you produce it? It is not easy for an average breeder to get 300 to 400 for any gecko no matter how nice. When people shell out that kind of money they want a well know well respected breeder. I don't breed enigmas myself so I can not give you any more help than that

That's what I was thinking. I don't have the reputation to charge such prices. I do however provide veterinary work to prove it's health so that's got to be worth something. None of the geckos I've bought have ever had any kind of vet history or work that went with them when I received them. I did not produce this animal, no. I bought him from a breeder who is no longer in the hobby. I have not bred him, though I was told he is a proven male.

Just my opinion :)

If you bought him as an adult you should already now what they go for because that's what you paid. Also if you have proof of where it came from you might get the same price if the seller was/ is reputable and you have good documentation of the transaction. As for the vet proof, that's always an added bonus to the new buyer but I don't think you're going to get anymore for him because of it.

As as I said this is just my opinion and I don't mean to come off sounding harsh.

Thank you! You don't sound harsh at all. I unfortunately do not have proof of where he came from. He was from a gentleman on this forum though I'm not sure if he is still active having sold all his geckos. I think I may let the little guy go for a good deal because I didn't produce him, but he is healthy and very beautiful (in my opinion anyway lol). It's important that all my animals have a clean bill of health before going to a new home. Next season will be my first baby season and I'd like to build a good reputation.
